Trousers are the foundation of my wardrobe. When I get dressed, I start my look from the bottom up starting with what trouser style, colour and length I want to wear. From there, the outfit naturally comes together with a consistent colour theme and style attitude.
Having a variety of trousers is key to building a versatile wardrobe. To help you on your way I have selected my favourite trouser trends for Autumn Winter 2019.
THE KILT
The traditional Scottish dress reimagined through a modern lens. Style over tailored trousers with the same fabric for a layered effect combing the distinct pleats of the kilt with the simple pleat of the tailored pants.
CORD TROUSERS
Cord might be the marmite of winter fabrics but how can you resist the distinctive twill texture? Style with Chelsea boots for the ultimate autumn look.
PLEATED GREY WOOL TROUSERS
Update your tailored trousers with winter-appropriate fabrics. Wool is a popular choice this season, opt for a light grey to balance the dark autumn colours.
PINSTRIPE CHINOS
The pinstripe pattern is a great way to inject a subtle design while maintaining a timeless look. Wear with plain monochromatic colours to make the trousers the hero.
CARGO PANTS
The utility trend makes its way into autumn-winter in the form of cargo pants in seasonal autumnal shades.
THE JOGGER
Add a casual flair with the comfortable yet stylish jogger. Perfect for when you need an elasticated waist after eating way too many calories.
WIDE LEG TROUSERS
Wearing wide-leg trousers are a result of you not skipping leg day and realising that your thighs can no longer squeeze into a skinny fit. This. trouser silhouette allows you to create volume on your bottom half of your look.
TWEED HOUNDSTOOTH TROUSERS
Tweed and houndstooth are synonymous with winter. These dark beige trousers are a great way to embody the season with the combination of texture, pattern and colour.
