Denim will always be the ultimate wardrobe essential. When you have days where you are not sure about what to wear, denim will always have your back. You can depend on it to give you a timeless look, while still looking on-trend. It will never go out of style. For that very reason, you should know how to put a denim look together.
Here are some of my favourite timeless men’s denim looks that will never fail you.
DENIM JACKET + CHINOS
One of the most popular denim looks is made up of a beige chino worn with a white tee, sneakers, and a denim jacket. The clash of textures and tones make this look a casual go-to.
WHITE TEE
Go simple with denim jeans and a basic white tee.
DAD CORE
Loosen the fit of the denim and add a blazer to embody the ultimate dad weekend look.
NAUTICAL
For a nautical look, switch the basic tee for a stripe version.
SWEATSHIRT
Increase the casual feel of the look by wearing a sweatshirt. Tuck in the front for added styling detail.
DOUBLE DENIM
While some may shy away from wearing too much denim, I say there is no such thing! Double denim looks excellent when balanced with a white tee and white socks.
OPTIC WHITE
For a bold summer look, brighten up the denim and go for optic white.
BLACK ON BLACK
Denim takes on a new edge when it is part of an all-black look.
BLACK AND WHITEÂ
If blue jeans are not your thing, black jeans also work perfectly with a white tee. Wear with white socks and a sturdy black shoe. Go even further and cuff the sleeves and add a chain for a rock and roll attitude.
LEATHER JACKET
Continue the rock and roll attitude with a leather biker jacket and Chelsea boots.
Make the biker look even more casual by introducing a hoodie, perfect for transitional seasons.
SHIRT, TEE + DENIM
Swap the biker jacket and add a touch of formality with an oxford shirt, wear open and layered over a white tee. Show off some ankle and swap out the tube socks for invisible ones.
DENIM SHIRT
Double denim can also work with a denim shirt and jeans. Keep the shirt tucked in for a seamless denim flow.
TRIPLE DENIM LOOK
Two is never enough, add a denim jacket to create a triple denim overload to give VMA Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears a run for their money.
